Green Fayre

A major summer event hosted by The Friends

Working in conjunction with local schools and eco-groups, the Green Fayre was an afternoon filled with loads of activities, stalls and fun. 200-300 people came throughout the afternoon, and coinciding with Father’s Day seemed to only boost the numbers with many younger families present.

  • we learnt about the incredibly diverse wildlife in the churchyard
  • we discovered what some of the local eco groups are doing to preserve Redbourn’s wildlife heritage
  • great refreshments were enjoyed from various stalls
  • children gathered in the story tent and then went on a hedgehog and bird trail
  • teddy bears took the ultimate plunge and joined in the Teddy Tots Flight School
  • great entertainment was provided by Redbourn Jazz, The Tappalachians, Abbie Gathard, Katie’s Jumping Fleas, John Knowles, and The Fazios

We were delighted to see so many discover more about the churchyard and to be able to share it and enjoy it!
